Parents will have the opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts, and after the shopping is done, stay to enjoy family games, bounce houses, hot chocolate, and a visit from Santa! Welcome! We are looking for volunteers who are skilled in many things and are adaptable. This volunteer role will focus on volunteers performing general duties as assigned. We have needs for volunteers to assist with event support, reading to youth in the playcenter, and helping with other program needs. If you are adaptable and enjoy being of service and making an impact, this is the opportunity for you! You will be required to complete a Background Check, Youth and Teen Safety Policy Training (20 min video), Youth and Teen Safety Policy Waiver, and Volunteer Waiver upon signing up for this project. Keeping our youth and teens safe is a top priority and we appreciate you for making the commitment to do the same!

NEWNAN, GA (November 13, 2025) — The Summit Family YMCA is proud to announce the 2nd Annual SUMMIT FAMILY THRIVE, a free Disability and Inclusion Resource Fair taking place on Thursday, November 13, from 11:00 am to 1:00 PM at the Summit Family YMCA in Newnan. Hosted in collaboration with the Georgia State University, Center for Leadership in Disability, School of Public Health. This resource fair is designed to serve the more than 5,500 individuals living with disabilities in Coweta County, this FREE event will bring together a wide range of community partners and organizations to offer support, services, and adaptive resources in one welcoming, inclusive space showcasing resources in health & wellness, education, adaptive recreation, vocational training, legal support, and more For Families, Friends & Caregivers: Whether you’re navigating care options, looking for adaptive programs, or seeking community connections, The SUMMIT FAMILY THRIVE Resource Fair is here to support you.
