Join us for a meaningful and energizing day at the Villages at Carver Family YMCA’s “It Takes the Village” 5K Walk/Run! This family-friendly event takes place along the beautiful Westside Beltline at Pittsburgh Yard and brings our community together in support of a powerful mission. About the Impact This event is more than just a walk or run—it’s a chance to directly support access to YMCA programs and services. Every step taken and every dollar raised helps ensure that individuals and families can participate in Y programs, regardless of financial barriers. Through the Y’s Annual Campaign, financial assistance is provided based on need so that no one is turned away. Volunteer Roles May Include: Event set-up and breakdown Bib pick-up and registration support Route guidance and participant encouragement Water station support Finish line and awards assistance General event support to ensure a welcoming, safe, and fun experience for all Race Day Schedule: 8:30 – 9:25 AM: Race Day Bib Pick-Up & In-Person Registration 9:25 AM: Registration Closes 9:30 AM: 5K Race Start 10:30 AM: Awards Ceremony Why Volunteer?
