Looking for a way to give back while having a blast? Join us for Reading Buddies, an exciting volunteering opportunity where you’ll get to bring stories to life for kids at our Play Center! Saturday and Sunday, you’ll be paired with eager young listeners, helping them dive into the world of books and sparking their imaginations. Whether you're a lifelong book lover or just enjoy a good story, this is your chance to share the magic of reading with the next generation. It’s a fun, fulfilling way to spend an evening and make a big difference in a child’s life. Plus, you’ll be making new friends (both young and old) in the process! Requirements To ensure the safety of our youth and community, all volunteers must complete the following: Background Check Youth and Teen Safety Policy Training (20-minute video) Youth and Teen Safety Policy Waiver Volunteer Waiver Keeping our youth and teens safe is a top priority and we appreciate you for making the commitment to do the same! Youth & Teen Safety Requirements (Praesidium-Aligned) To ensure the highest standard of safety for all participants, all volunteers must complete the following requirements prior to participating: Volunteer Waiver & Code of Conduct Youth & Teen Safety Policy Acknowledgement Background Check Clearance Youth & Teen Safety Training (Praesidium e-learning module) These requirements are mandatory and help ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for youth, teens, and vulnerable adults.
