Atlanta Beltline
On September 12, the YMCA of Metro Atlanta is hosting our annual Day of Service and this year, we wanted to lean into creating a welcoming space and bringing the City together in service ahead of the World Cup. As such, we are going to partner with the Atlanta Beltline for several of these projects on this day. The Beltline physically connects our city, and this day of service is a chance for the Y to do the same—bringing people together in a spirit of belonging, community, and shared impact. This year, several Y locations across the City of Atlanta will lead service projects at 3–4 sites along the Beltline—specifically on the south side, southwest, and west side. These projects will enhance access points and create more welcoming corridors throughout the city, aligning with our broader efforts to spotlight Atlanta in the lead-up to the World Cup next year.
