Cowart Family YMCA (Brookhaven)

Backpack Buddies Project Help us provide a safety net for elementary school students in DeKalb County who face food insecurity. These children often have an early lunch at school, leaving them hungry when they get home—especially when parents aren’t available right away. Our project ensures students have access to nutritious snacks to bridge the gap between school lunch and their next meal at home. Volunteers pick up pre-packaged snacks and deliver them to the Y and/or Oakcliff Elementary, where they are distributed to students in need. Sign up for one or more shifts below. Tasks and Dates Pick Up from BPBMA Warehouse to Cowart Family YMCA What: Pick up the Backpack Buddies order from the BPBMA warehouse and bring it to the Cowart Family YMCA.
