This milestone anniversary is more than a celebration—it’s an opportunity to honor the relationships, programs, and people who have helped shape a stronger, healthier East Lake community. Volunteers will play a key role in bringing this vibrant Community Block Party to life by helping create a welcoming, fun, and memorable experience for families, members, and neighbors. From supporting event setup to engaging with guests and assisting with activities, your time and energy will help make this celebration truly special. Volunteer Roles & Shifts Setup & Event Engagement (10 Volunteers) 🕛 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM Assist with event setup (tables, tents, decorations, activity stations) Help prepare activity spaces and materials Welcome early guests and support event kickoff activities Event Engagement & Breakdown (10 Volunteers) 🕒 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM Support activities and engage with participants throughout the event Help ensure a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for all attendees Assist with event breakdown, including cleanup and packing materials What to Expect A high-energy, family-friendly outdoor celebration Opportunities to connect with community members and YMCA staff A meaningful way to support a legacy of impact and belonging Volunteer Impact By volunteering, you are helping us celebrate 25 years of service while continuing to build a welcoming space where everyone feels seen, supported, and connected.
