Coaching is a unique opportunity to instill positive values and help kids develop healthy habits that extend far beyond the playing field. Our coaches provide a welcoming atmosphere, teach fundamentals of the game and promote the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork. The Decatur Family YMCA Summer T-ball/Baseball Program focuses on skill development and game experience. Clinics will focus on hitting, fielding, pitching, and throwing. Volunteer Coach Responsibilities: Instruct players in the fundamentals of T-ball/Baseball while promoting good sportsmanship. Hold team practices 1 hour every week and coach games. Communicate with team members and parents. Share praise and build confidence in young athletes. Promote an inclusive and positive experience.
