Volunteer Opportunity: Active Older Adult Greeters Location: South DeKalb Family YMCA Role: Welcome & Greet Community Members The South DeKalb Family YMCA is seeking warm, friendly volunteers to serve as Active Older Adult Greeters. This role is perfect for anyone who enjoys connecting with others and helping people feel at home the moment they walk through our doors. What You’ll Do Warmly welcome members, guests, and visitors Provide friendly directions and general information about the Y Create a positive, inviting atmosphere in our lobby area Support staff by helping with simple check-in questions or wayfinding Be a cheerful ambassador for the Y’s mission and community spirit Ideal Volunteer Enjoys meeting new people Has a welcoming personality and strong customer-service mindset Is dependable and comfortable in a community-focused environment Loves helping others feel connected and supported Time Commitment Flexible shifts are available during morning and midday hours.
