iHeart Radio Back-to-School Event – Volunteer Setup Crew Date: Saturday, August 2, 2025 Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Kickoff and orientation begin at 8:45 AM) Location: Andrew & Walter Young Family YMCA 2220 Campbellton Rd SW, Atlanta, GA 30311 Project Description: Join us at the Andrew & Walter Young Family YMCA as we prepare for one of our most anticipated community events of the year—the iHeart Radio Back-to-School Bash! This event welcomes hundreds of families from across the community for a fun, high-energy afternoon filled with school supplies, youth activities, and community connection. Although the event begins at noon, volunteers are essential during the morning hours to ensure a smooth and successful setup. Volunteers will support a range of critical tasks, from setting up vendor areas to preparing youth activity spaces and welcoming families who often arrive early. Volunteer Tasks Include: Setting up tables and chairs for vendors Assisting vendors with unloading and transporting materials Staging the youth activity area (crafts, face painting, book fair, etc.) Distributing water to families waiting in line Managing and welcoming families in line (Optional, based on capacity) Assisting with light furniture assembly for the play center What to Wear: Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. You may be working both indoors and outdoors. Parking: Parking is limited—carpooling or rideshare is encouraged. Additional Notes: Please arrive by 8:30 AM. We’ll begin with a group orientation and kickoff at 8:45 AM to assign roles and ensure everyone is ready to serve. Water and light refreshments will be provided.
