Coaching is a unique opportunity to instill positive values and help kids develop healthy habits that extend far beyond the playing field. Our coaches provide a welcoming atmosphere, teach fundamentals of the game and promote the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork. Volunteer Coach Responsibilities: *Instruct the fundamentals and basics of cheerleading while promoting teamwork and building confidence *Hold team practices 1 hour every week and coach at games *Communicate with team members and parents *Share praise and build confidence in young athletes *Promote an inclusive and positive experience *Must have knowledge of cheerleading and ability to teach cheers, chants, a dance, and jumps *Live YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, & Responsibility
